Some people have a knack for composition. Like Erika and Patrik Morn, of Stockholm (yes, Sweden) who are the proud owners of the bedroom below. Perhaps it's in their Swedish blood, this gift for good design, or perhaps this particular couple, who run a homewares line called hetta, are just really good at what they do.

Probably a little of both.
 
The ways in which this room inspires us are many. First -- foremost -- the striped wallpaper. Second, the brown-and-white-with-a-splash-of-color palette. Then, the symmetry -- of the tall bookshelves, the matching lamps, and the playful pillows (which, we think we *maybe* saw once in another color at an IKEA. One here in the States.).
 
The bed is Erika's grandma's, and the little animal resting on that pillow -- also inspiring. Together they offset all the new with a warmth and patina that comes only from a lived-in home.
