Kent Griswald has a passion and a blog. His passion is the small, efficient, beautiful space, and his blog, Tiny House Blog, is aptly named.
Kent himself describes his blog’s purpose as a means “to discover the different options available for a person looking to down size into a tiny house or cabin.” He writes about “different types of construction, from logs, to yurts to modern and the unusual.” He also posts wonderful photographs of small (make that micro) living spaces, plus building plans that allow true hands-on enthusiasts to, by all means, try this at home.
The Internet offers no shortage of sites devoted to decorating small spaces (which we’re glad for) but Kent’s love of the wee has a whole different feel. Kent is drawn to the rustic, the hand-built, the energy efficient. His attitude isn’t “we live in small space, let’s make the best of it” but “wouldn’t life be great if we could just shave a few more square feet off this thing?”
That is to say, he believes in downsizing as a quality of life choice, and he makes it very easy to come along for the ride. Thanks, Kent.
