Wall Mounted Fruit Bowl
Fruit Loops (and Bowls, and Trays)
Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Doesn’t it feel good, when the kitchen is clean and organized, to put out something new on the countertops? Or the walls? Just to spruce it up? A set of salt and pepper shakers, say, or some colorful dish towels? A spiffy spice rack? Even a pot holder will do the trick.

We're not talking about the expensive stuff, like slate countertops or stainless steel dishwashers (you’ve either already got those or have them on the wish list), but the accessories. The kitchen's bling, if you will.

Here’s one quick way to bling-up your kitchen: buy a new fruit bowl. It might sound silly, but we're serious. As serious as we can be when talking about fruit. Remove the big unraveling basket you have holding your produce today and replace it with something modern and whimsical. If ever there were a place in your home for whimsy, it would be near the apples and oranges.

Here are a few that we like. And there are many other varieties out there. Find one that suits you, buy it, and smile next time you go shopping.
