Greening Your Bathroom (And Your Wallet)

Given the woes of the climate and the economy of late, there are two things many of us aspire to do: save water, and save money. But there's one room in the house where both easily go down the drain: the bathroom.

 

Turns out that bathrooms are where 60% of the water used indoors gets consumed. Not only is that bad for the environment, it's bad for your wallet.

 

Fortunately, improving your bathroom's water conservation isn't as hard as you'd think. To point, we discovered this handy how-to video from National Geographic on YouTube -- it breaks down "greening" a bathroom into easy, actionable tips. Replacing old toilets and faucets and detecting leaks is more than half the battle.
