Sometimes a dinner reservation at a swank restaurant is all it takes to prompt one into immediate (if somewhat impractical) Redecoration Mode. Such was the case when we of the GN team found ourselves having dinner at one Cecconi’s restaurant in Los Angeles. We were so taken with the décor, we're not sure what we actually ate.
If we were told to visualize a room with cool black and white marble floors, crystal chandeliers and dusty blue leather chairs, we might have thought “interesting, but chilly” and/or “over the top.” Instead, what we saw it in person made us do calculations: “How much would marble floors cost in a 300 square foot room? How many chairs like this could I fit around Grandma’s hand-me-down table? Where does one buy a crystal chandelier?”
