Symbolically speaking, the color gray is timeless, practical, solid. The experts also associate gray with elegance, humility, wisdom, formality. And yet, many people steer clear of gray as a choice for a favorite color, or as the core of a design palette, because of it’s additional associations with sadness or the blahs.
Color is so individual. Wonderfully subjective. And gray, for some, might just be too color-less to be a great wall color. But for others – those who think a rainy day is sublime and that soft neutral colors are perfectly soothing – gray may just be the perfect backdrop to an elegant room remodel.
