Inspiration Everywhere: Gray Walls
Monday, November 16, 2009

Symbolically speaking, the color gray is timeless, practical, solid. The experts also associate gray with elegance, humility, wisdom, formality. And yet, many people steer clear of gray as a choice for a favorite color, or as the core of a design palette, because of it’s additional associations with sadness or the blahs.

Color is so individual. Wonderfully subjective. And gray, for some, might just be too color-less to be a great wall color. But for others – those who think a rainy day is sublime and that soft neutral colors are perfectly soothing – gray may just be the perfect backdrop to an elegant room remodel.

Below are some ways gray can work beautifully in a room. If you ask us, no blahs here.
