Pretty in Pink
Tuesday, October 27, 2009

Pink. In small quantities (say a shirt, a throw pillow, a lipstick) is an easy color to love. In larger quantities (a pre-teen girl’s bedroom, a Hello Kitty store, Miami) it tends to feel over-the-top.

And let’s be honest, when most people think of pink in a house they flash to some tacky bathroom they entered in the 70s or 80s, with pink tile and, possibly, a cushy pink toilet seat.

Times have changed. Pink isn't just for princesses anymore.

Thanks to modern design and materials, a pink room today can feel alive and contemporary. And a pink powder room – a woman’s private retreat in the home – is perhaps the most perfect place to go really pink. Pink is feminine and pretty, and can also be bold and modern. What woman wouldn''t appreciate that vibe rubbing off on them?
