Storage Solutions: If The Shoe Fits...
Friday, November 27, 2009

Black Friday was a success! You braved the crowds, hit up eight sales, bought four pairs of shoes and did half your holiday shopping. Plus, you burned off at least a third of the calories you consumed on Thanksgiving Day.

Mission accomplished.

Now (not unlike the pantry "situation" you just considered) you're wondering why your closet is not more tidy and organized. Specifically, you are wondering where to stash the four new pairs of shoes you just bought, because the shoe pile on the floor of your closet seems to be at a tipping point.

There's a better way, friend, a better way. Shoe nirvana can be achieved either as a DIY project, or in a slightly more elaborate style (envy Jessica Alba much?). Any which way is better than the leaning tower of shoes you’ve been working around for months.

If you go the DIY route, you might start somewhere like The Container Store. For a closet overhaul of a greater kind, get a free estimate from California Closets.
