Taste is Not in Short Supply

A friend once admired a jacket I was wearing and then went home and ordered the same online. She emailed me right after, with some remorse, saying we were "twinsumers," meaning that we wanted to own what the other one had. It's great actually to find friends like these, people who's taste and discernment you admire.

Wouldn't it be nice to have such a friend while navigating all shopping choices, from media to home decor? Sometimes yes! That's why it was great to stumble upon svpply.com, a site that features a collection of stuff from light fixtures to cashmere t-shirts to Apple's new Magic Mouse. It's "invitation-only" but anyone can browse...and follow links to buy the impeccably curated items. A recent perusal even unearthed a gorgeous sublet in Chicago.
