White floors: clean, modern, luxurious, and with a near-magical ability to add pretend square-footage to a room (that is to say, give it a feeling of openness). Every bit of color you place next to a white floor pops brightly, and it’s difficult – downright impossible, we’d argue – to not feel a wee bit lighter, yourself, when you see one. On a “practical” note, white floors are also a bit high maintenance – for obvious reasons – but such is the price we pay for pleasing aesthetics.
